so since i posted that blog about me having 79 polishes or something back in august, i now have 87 or 88. almost ten more basically. and though i didn’t stick to me not buying anymore at all at least within the 3 or 4 months i have only bought just under 9. better than 10 a week lol.

on another note i wanted to talk about base coats. i have 3 different ones my first one ever being essie protein base coat, then revlon quick  drying base, then rock hard base coat. now the revlon works good but does not dry nearly as quickly as the essie does. and the rock hard….well it pretty much sux as a base coat. that kind is more of a nail hardener which i like to wear it when i don’t have a color on because it makes the nails super shiny. i haven’t exactly made up mind whether or not it works as a hardener either though…my nails have been breaking but at the same time i’ve doing a lot of things around the house so that could be a problem..

as for the essie base though… it worked beautifully when i first started this nail obsession. many times when i wore it, my nail polish had no problems with chipping or anything like that. only when i started wearing other kinds did the polish seem to not last long. as you guys know i have a revlon on atm and by now, which its been 3 days i believe since i’ve had it on, it should have chipped but it hasn’t. nor have my nails felt this strong in quite some time. so i have come to the conclusion that, out of the 3 i’ve tried, the essie protein base coat is the best. i’d still like to try more though. just to see. kinda weird since i refuse to change my top coat. lol i guess i just love the name so much (out the door) i dunno i’m a dork like that. also the essie is $8 bucks for a regular sized bottle. my top coat is $10 for a gigantic bottle so i guess i’m looking for a cheaper alternative. that bottle is almost empty as it is…

any who do you any of you have a favorite base coat? if so lemme know! i’m always wanting to learn new things about nails. :)
